Job summary

Govia Thameslink Railway Ltd. is seeking an accomplished Chief Engineer & Technical Director/Officer to lead the engineering, fleet, asset management, maintenance, renewals and infrastructure agenda across our integrated railway.

You will report to the Managing Director and contribute to the Executive Leadership Team, delivering a safer, more reliable and high-performing railway for customers. You will lead across GTR and Network Rail, shaping an integrated approach to engineering and asset

Qualifications

Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional experience.
Significant leadership of large engineering, fleet, maintenance, renewals or infrastructure organisations.
Deep knowledge of asset management, engineering assurance and maintenance delivery.
Experience delivering major engineering or infrastructure programmes.
Strong understanding of safety management, risk, change management and regulation.
Proven ability to influence executive-level decision-making.

Responsibilities

Set and lead the integrated engineering and infrastructure strategy across GTR and Network Rail.
Provide executive leadership for Fleet Engineering, Asset Management and Infrastructure.
Influence asset plans and delivery across business units for optimal customer outcomes.
Provide Level 1 assurance for asset safety, integrity and sustainability.
