The Executive Head Chef position at this 4-star hotel in Berwick-upon-Tweed offers permanent, full-time leadership within an intimate hospitality group.

You will command a kitchen that serves a 1 AA Rosette restaurant, bar, room service and a substantial events programme featuring weddings and functions. Working alongside the Group Executive Chef, you will mentor a brigade including a Head Chef, manage budgets, and uphold exacting culinary standards.

This role suits a passionate leader seeking ownership of a varied operation. Your key skills will include menu development, cost control, and team development within a premium hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards across all food outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service and events.
• Working closely with the Group Executive Chef to develop menus, improve standards and drive the continued success of the food operation.
• Overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food quality, service delivery, health and safety, and kitchen compliance.
• Managing, training and developing the kitchen team to create a positive and high-performing working environment.
• Ensuring effective cost control through menu engineering, stock management, purchasing and minimising waste.
• Maintaining and enhancing the property’s reputation by delivering exceptional food experiences for guests, weddings and events.
