We are recruiting an Executive Head Chef for a large and busy science facility.

Be part of a newly structured team overseeing a recently refurbished flagship operation. The facility operates 7 days a week with a busy service offering restaurant, hospitality, coffee, and vending. If you enjoy a busy and fast-paced environment, this is for you!

Job Description

The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people. We are searching for an experienced Executive Head Chef with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our team at one of our largest operations.

As an Executive Head Chef, your focus is to work closely with your teams to develop strong work relationships and together provide the best customer service.

You should have excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills, a passion for food and service, and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar management environment assisting the General Manager with all food-related matters
• Proven, hands-on leadership skills, with the ability to develop your team
• Outgoing, vibrant personality, with a passion for food and customer service
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge
• Financial acumen, understanding of GP calculation, IT literacy
• Innovative, creative, driven by excellence
• Knowledge of current food trends
• Relevant culinary qualification (diploma or degree in Culinary Arts)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior chef role within high-volume catering
• Exceptional culinary skills and knowledge of cuisines and techniques
• Menu planning and development skills
• Experience in managing food costs, inventory, and budgeting
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Food safety certifications and understanding of hygiene regulations
• Experience in managing large kitchen teams

• Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
