Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an outstanding Facilities Director to join the Senior Leadership Team in Scotland. You will hold full operational and P&L accountability for a major PFI education and public sector portfolio across Scotland, while leading three specialist divisions: Legionella, Mobile Technical Services, and Energy Management.

As a core SLT member, you will drive regional strategy with the Managing Director, champion decarbonisation initiatives and uphold a strong health and safety culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7+ years as Facilities Director / Account Director / Regional Director in Tier‑1 PFI/PPP.
• Experience managing fixed-site operations plus mobile fleets, water hygiene units, and sustainability/energy desks.
• Full ownership of large budgets (£15M+ regional) with extensive commercial negotiation experience.
• Degree in FM, Commercial Law or core Engineering; IWFM or RICS chartered/certified.
• NEBOSH Cert/Diploma with knowledge of SFG20, ACoP L8, and ISO 50001 energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Board-level collaboration to shape strategy, growth and governance of Dalkia Scotland.
• Foster cross‑selling and integration between PFI assets and specialist divisions to add value.
• Promote workplace safety, sustainability, mental health, and frontline talent retention.
• Own PFI payment mechanisms and ensure tracking to prevent service credits.
• Act as senior interface between SPV, funders/lenders and public sector client teams.
• Drive contract variations, asset benchmarking and lifecycle market-testing.
• Lead Legionella Division management across the region with compliance to ACoP L8 and HSG274.
• Govern Mobile Technical Services fleet and optimize scheduling, capacity, and first‑time fix KPIs.
• Oversee Energy Management & Net Zero initiatives including BMS upgrades and decarbonisation schemes.
• Lead forward maintenance registers and capital asset replacement strategies with SPV partners.
• Provide technical oversight for handback readiness and surveys against handback criteria.
