JPMorganChase in London seeks a Global Head of Instrument Reference Data – Executive Director to lead the firmwide strategy, operating model and execution for securities and index reference data.

You will run a global team delivering end-to-end reference data operations, own the product and change agenda for the Global Instrument Master platform, and partner with technology to enhance data quality, controls and automation across regions.

• Extensive leadership in financial services reference data or related platforms.
• Experience delivering large-scale global transformations.
• Strong knowledge of instrument lifecycles and reference data domains across major asset classes.
• Proven governance and audit readiness in high-control environments.
• Track record turning business needs into product roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Experience sponsoring AI and analytics with governance and monitoring.
• Balance run-the-business excellence with change delivery and strategic transformation.
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence across lines of business.
• Strong risk mindset with preventative and detective controls in operations.
• Leadership in talent development, succession planning, and org design.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the global vision and target operating model for instrument reference data.
• Lead a global organization across regions and time zones with clear accountability.
• Establish firmwide governance for reference data standards and automation use cases.
• Own end-to-end delivery for securities and index data across sourcing, lifecycle events, and distribution.
• Manage dedicated support for pricing, maintenance, and rebalancing of indices.
• Drive data quality improvements through standardization and automation.
• Implement robust data quality controls and audit evidence.
• Direct issue management, root cause analysis, and remediation plans.
• Act as senior product owner for the Global Instrument Master platform (GIM).
• Partner with Technology to set SLAs, capacity plans, and reduce technical debt.
• Lead end-to-end change delivery including UAT and stakeholder readiness.
