Job summary

Carnival UK in Southampton is seeking an Executive, Development to drive learning and talent initiatives within the People team. You will lead inclusive training, shape development plans and support calibration, with a hybrid work pattern including up to two days from home.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Consultant, Development and the wider Talent Operations group to deliver engaging programmes that strengthen capability and business outcomes across shoreside and on board teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering learning, development or training interventions in a people-focused environment.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills with inclusive learning delivery.
• Ability to diagnose capability needs and apply structured learning content.
• Qualification or certification in HR, Talent, Learning & Development or related field; accred in psychometric tools desirable.

Role Overview

The Talent Operations team supports learning, development and talent activity for colleagues across Carnival UK, both shoreside and on board. Working closely with the Senior Consultant, Development, Senior Manager, Talent Operations and the wider team, you will help deliver engaging development experiences and support fair, informed talent decisions.

This pivotal role will involve:

• Leading engaging and inclusive training sessions, tailoring delivery to audience needs and using feedback to continuously strengthen facilitation.
• Coordinating feedback on learning programmes, identifying themes and recommending practical improvements.
• Delivering development plans and tracking their impact on capability, behaviour and business outcomes.
• Supporting performance calibration, talent and succession planning through the preparation of data, insights and documentation.

This role is positioned at CUK10 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

What You'll Bring

• Experience delivering learning, development or training interventions within a people-focused environment.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to create inclusive learning experiences.
• The ability to diagnose capability needs, apply structured learning content and provide constructive feedback.
• A qualification or certification in HR, Talent, Learning and Development, People Operations or a related field, with accreditation in psychometric and talent assessment tools desirable.
