Job summary

Joshua Robert Recruitment Limited is seeking an Executive Cost Consultant to lead cost management on high-value built environment projects in London. The role covers pre-contract through to completion, with client liaison and leadership responsibilities across multiple projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying (MRICS preferred) and strong experience in cost planning, procurement and NEC contracts, delivering value-driven commercial advice.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction or related.
• MRICS preferred, but not essential.
• Strong pre- and post-contract experience.
• Experience on high-value built environment projects.
• Consultancy experience desirable.
• Background in sectors such as commercial, residential, office, fit-out, healthcare, education or industrial.
• Strong cost planning, estimating, procurement and cost management skills.
• Knowledge of NEC 3/4 contracts.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, tendering and contract processes, including NEC 3/4
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets, forecasts and detailed cost reports
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, risks, changes and contingencies
• Manage valuations, compensation events, claims and final accounts
• Analyse design changes, benchmarking and market costs to identify value opportunities
• Provide proactive cost and commercial advice to clients
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships and act as a key project contact
• Manage multiple projects, budgets and resources
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Contribute to business development, recruitment and wider G&T initiatives

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
