Job summary

A leading health care provider is seeking a Division Chief of Transfusion Medicine to oversee operations at all affiliated hospitals. The candidate must be board certified in relevant fields and have experience in laboratory management within a multi-site health system. Responsibilities include directing services, coordinating with specialists, and teaching medical trainees. A competitive salary ranging from $380,000 to $475,000 is offered, along with comprehensive benefits including retirement plans and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Board certified in CP or AP/CP and in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.
• Experience in laboratory management in a multi‑site health system.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship.
• Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine commensurate with credentials and experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct Transfusion Medicine at the system level, including oversight of blood bank/transfusion services.
• Coordinate services with other laboratory sections and work with medical specialists.
• Active participation in hospital committees.
• Teach residents and medical students.
• Participate in translational or clinical research as needed.
