Job summary

Bromley Beacon Academy is seeking an exceptional Assistant Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team. This role focuses on safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

With a reduced teaching commitment, the postholder will lead safeguarding across the academy, oversee attendance and wellbeing, and act as Designated Teacher for Looked After and Previously Looked After Children, while supporting whole-school

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding leadership and designated safeguarding roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence at senior level.
• Commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable children.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding, child protection and Looked After/Previously Looked After procedures across the academy.
• Oversee attendance, wellbeing, pastoral care and inclusion; support teaching with a reduced timetable.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to drive whole-school improvement; be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team.
