Job summary

University of the Built Environment seeks an experienced Executive Assistant to provide proactive support to the Chief Operating Officer. Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) with two days per week working from home, the role is full-time and permanent.

The salary is £34,000 per annum, with duties including calendar management, report writing, and cross-team coordination to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support communication with SLT, colleagues, and students, ensuring efficient decision-making.
  • Assist in planning and prioritising tasks in a dynamic environment.

Salary £34,000 pa

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Chief Operating Officer (COO), a key member of the University's Executive team.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the COO's interactions with members of the Executive team, the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues across the University, helping to drive efficiency, collaboration and effective decision-making. With a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail, you will anticipate needs, manage competing priorities and provide seamless executive support in a dynamic environment.

You must:

  • Have relevant experience in an EA or administration role supporting senior staff.
  • Be able to professionally and confidently handle a busy and varied workload, which is sometimes pressured requiring task switching.
  • Be digitally competent with strong communication skills, including report writing.
  • Be on board with our behaviours and committed to delivering positive outcomes for our students.
