Job summary

The University of the Built Environment is seeking a motivated Student Outreach Officer to widen participation and support access to higher education. This part-time role (17.5 hours/week, permanent) involves designing, coordinating and delivering outreach activities across Horizons (Reading) and home-based settings.

You will recruit and train Student Ambassadors, conduct risk assessments for events, and use insights to improve programmes. A commitment to excellent customer service is essential.

Student Outreach Officer

Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home

Salary £12,000 to £13,000 pa (£24,000 to £26,000 FTE) plus benefits

We are seeking a motivated Student Outreach Officer to play a pivotal role in widening participation, driving social mobility, and supporting inclusive access to higher education.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in the design, coordination and delivery of exciting outreach activities that encourage learners from all backgrounds to explore higher education and discover career opportunities within the built environment sector.
