Job description

The School of Human and Health Sciences is seeking to recruit a full-time, permanent Executive Assistant to join the Dean's Office.

This is a varied and rewarding administrative role supporting the School's Senior Leadership Team and contributing to the effective operation of one of the University's largest Schools. Working as part of a busy and supportive Dean's Office team, you will provide high-quality administrative, coordination, and operational support across a wide range of School activities and projects.

You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day business of the School, helping to coordinate meetings and committees, maintain effective administrative systems and processes, support School events and projects, manage information and documentation, and ensure that actions and priorities are progressed efficiently. The role also includes supporting senior colleagues with diary management, correspondence, and other executive support requirements where needed.

We are looking for an experienced administrator with substantial experience of working in a busy office environment. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and confident working both independently and as part of a team. Experience of servicing meetings and committees, maintaining administrative processes and systems, managing complex workloads and providing high-quality customer service is essential.

You will be proactive, resourceful and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to build effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues, demonstrate good judgement and confidentiality, and take pride in delivering a professional and responsive administrative service.

We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).

The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
