TC Group in Southampton is recruiting an Executive Accountant to advance your career within a large service charge specialist team. You will lead and execute ISA800 audits, review junior staff work and ensure high-quality client service across our market-leading clients.

The role blends technical accounting excellence with team leadership and clear progression opportunities in a fast-growing top 20 firm. Flexible, hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Background in accounting or double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience in an accountancy practice preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple accounts with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organised and methodical workload management.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of service charge accounting advantageous.

The Opportunity

What You'll Be Doing

As our Executive Accountant, you'll be responsible for:

• Undertaking the execution of ISA800 audit assignments and Factual Findings Reports for our client's service charge accounts in accordance with best practice
• Reviewing the work performed by more junior members of the team, and dealing with queries and client questions
• Aiding in the overall delivery of exceptional client service to our market leading clients.

The ideal candidate will have an exploratory approach to working in order to identify and solve problems efficiently. The role will require skills to work on large numbers of accounts, following our methodology and flagging any issues to the client and the manager. A key focus on working in an efficient and quality environment is a must.

What We're Looking For

• A background and exposure to accounting and/or double entry book keeping
• Ideally have experience of working within an accountancy practice
• Have ability and confidence to deal with multiple sets of accounts, with a high level of attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills - written and verbal
• Be able to confidently work alone but also be a team player
• Organised and methodical approach to handling workload of both self and others
• Be proficient in main line MS office products, with in depth experience and knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of service charge accounting would be an advantage
