Job summary

Childs Play Day Care in Penistone, S36 9AW, is seeking an Apprentice Early Years Educator (Level 3). This on-site role will involve planning stimulating activities, tracking children's progress, and ensuring safe, caring environments for indoor and outdoor learning.

The successful candidate will have passion for educating, be willing to learn, and work well in a team; DBS check will be conducted. Training towards EYFS Level 3 will be provided.

Qualifications

• This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
• Desirable Maths and English grade 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality care, planning stimulating activities based on children's individual needs.
• Tracking and monitoring their progress through observation.
• Ensure the children feel safe and secure and provide opportunities for them to learn both indoors and outdoors.
• Supervising mealtimes and preparing snacks.
• Lots of storytelling and playing.
• Preparing activities and resources.
• Liaising with parents/carers.
• Working as part of a team to develop areas in the playrooms.
• Helping staff in care routines.
• Some knowledge of safeguarding.
