Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Exchange Online Hybrid Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in a hybrid role with on-site presence in north London. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid Exchange environments and ensuring seamless mail flow across on-premises and cloud platforms.

You will lead mailbox migrations, plan coexistence, and manage policies, transport rules, and security configurations while coordinating with Azure AD/Entra ID and Active Directory

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Exchange Online hybrid configurations connecting on-premises Exchange with Microsoft 365.
• Lead and support mailbox migrations, coexistence planning, and cutover/staged migrations.
• Manage Exchange Online policies, transport rules, connectors, and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot mail flow, directory synchronisation, and hybrid connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with security/identity teams on Azure AD/Entra ID/AD integration.
• Provide technical documentation and operational guidance.

Exchange Online Hybrid Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Exchange Online Hybrid Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid Exchange environments and ensuring seamless mail flow across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role requires onsite 3 days per week north London.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Exchange Online hybrid configurationsconnecting on-premises Exchange with Microsoft 365.
• Lead and support mailbox migrations, coexistence planning, and cutover/staged migration activities.
• Manage Exchange Online policies, transport rules, connectors, and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex mail flow, directory synchronisation, and hybrid connectivity issues.
• Work closely with security and identity teams on Azure AD, Entra ID, and Active Directoryintegration.
• Provide technical documentation, best practices, and operational guidance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Exchange hybrid setup, including Hybrid Configuration Wizard and hybrid mail flow.
• Solid understanding of Exchange Server (2016/2019)and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with Azure AD Connect, identity synchronisation, and authentication models.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with email security tools (Defender for Office 365, Mimecast, Proofpoint).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance and compliance.
• Familiarity with broader cloud infrastructure (Azure, Intune).
