Working in a growing service-based SME in Cheltenham, this is an opportunity to take on a newly created Excel Data Analyst position. Our client has grown its turnover to approximately £5m and operates in an interesting sector, led by a management team of real pedigree.

The office is centrally located with free parking and offers excellent benefits such as private health, optical, and dental care.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

1. Collect and interpret data from various sources, such as SAGE 50, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
2. Create and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets, including IF formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis to generate reports.
3. Develop and automate Excel-based reporting tools and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
4. Perform data cleansing and validation to maintain data quality.
5. Analyze trends, patterns, and correlations in large datasets to identify opportunities and provide insights.
6. Present findings and recommendations to the Senior Management Team through clear and concise reports.
7. Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

We seek a candidate with proven analytical experience, adept at manipulating complex data spreadsheets, and with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including IF formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively within a friendly, close-knit team.
