Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking an Excavator Operator for the Sizewell C project with L-Lynch Plant. You will safely operate an excavator, carry out excavation, grading, trenching, loading and material handling in line with site requirements.

The role requires a valid CPCS or NPORS ticket with CSCS, prior experience on large civil engineering sites, and evidence of the right to work in the UK. You will work on a busy site, follow directions from supervisory staff, and uphold strict health and safety

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate an Excavator to carry out excavation, grading, trenching, loading, and material handling activities in line with project requirements.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and site‑specific procedures at all times.
• Complete pre‑start checks and routine inspections to ensure the Excavator remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.
• Load and move materials safely, ensuring work is completed efficiently and in accordance with site plans and instructions.
• Report any defects, faults, damage, or maintenance issues promptly to site management.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS ticket with CSCS logo.

Experience

• Previous experience operating an Excavator on large civil engineering or construction sites is essential; candidates must be confident working in a busy site environment, following directions from supervisors, and operating safely around other plant and personnel.
