Job summary

EDF Energy Limited in Sizewell C, Suffolk, is seeking Self-Employed Plant Operators to support ongoing and upcoming works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. You will operate a range of heavy plant on site, perform pre-start checks and work to tight programme milestones.

Required qualifications include 12+ months of plant experience and CPCS/NPORS cards; Blue Pass is highly desirable but not essential. UK right to work is required, and a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience operating construction plant.
• Valid CPCS or NPORS Competent Operator cards relevant to the machinery you operate.
• Full Sizewell C Blue Pass preferred but not essential.
• Other major project passes (HS2, Hinkley Point, Anglian Water SPA, etc.) advantageous.
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy construction environment.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a range of heavy plant including excavators, dozers and ADTs.
• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Complete excavation, earthworks, grading and material handling.
• Work closely with Site Managers and the site team to deliver works to programme.
• Report defects or issues with plant immediately.
• Follow all site rules, permit requirements and health and safety procedures.
• Complete daily inspections and activity records.
