Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking an organised Exams Officer to join a central exams team within a successful Multi Academy Trust. The role involves coordinating internal and external examinations across multiple academy sites and ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong admin experience, superb organisation, attention to detail and excellent IT skills, with preference for those with SIMS or school management system experience. October 2026 start date.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role; exams experience desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with young people within an education setting.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Knowledge of JCQ regulations and exam processes desirable.
  • Experience using SIMS or other school management systems desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and delivery of internal and external examinations across the Trust.
  • Coordinate exam entries, seating plans, timetables and examination arrangements.
  • Liaise with awarding bodies, teachers, students and parents regarding exam requirements.
  • Ensure examinations are conducted securely and in line with JCQ regulations.
  • Support the recruitment, training and coordination of exam invigilators.
  • Manage exam documentation, stationery, certificates and post-results services.
  • Work closely with school teams to ensure practical arrangements and exam venues are prepared effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and support the smooth running of examination periods.

Position: Exams Officer

Location: Redbridge

Salary: £27,954 - £29,202 per annum

Start date: October 2026

Smart Teachers are supporting a successful Multi Academy Trust in the appointment of an organised and dedicated Exams Officer to join their central exams team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator, ideally with previous examinations experience, to play a key role in supporting the smooth and effective delivery of internal and public examinations across multiple academy sites.

Working closely with the Trust Exams Manager and wider Exams Team, the successful candidate will coordinate examination processes, ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements while providing a high level of support to students, staff, parents and external stakeholders.

The Role:
