Job summary

Hitchin Girls’ School is seeking flexible, well-organised individuals to join our team as Examination Invigilators on a casual basis. Public exams run May–June and mock exams occur throughout the year; successful candidates will supervise exams, ensuring all regulations are observed and maintained.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided, and applicants must be adaptable to different hours.

Hitchin Girls’ School is a high performing school, graded Outstanding by Ofsted, where we provide an exceptional experience for all of our students. We have high level provision for teaching and learning and provide the greatest level of care and support for all students and our staff. Situated in the picturesque and historic market town of Hitchin, it is conveniently located in the beautiful countryside just 25 minutes from London by train and with easy access to motorways and airports.

We are currently looking for flexible, well organised individuals to join our team of Examination Invigilators to work on a casual basis, for public (GCSE/A level/ Functional Skills) exams and school mock exams. Public exams take place from May until the end of June and we run a number of mock exams throughout the school year (details of which can be found on the job description). Successful candidates should be confident and caring with good interpersonal skills. The key focus of this position is to invigilate students and ensure that guidelines and regulations are followed.

Experience is not essential as full training will be given. Flexibility in hours will be needed.
