Dulwich Prep & Senior is seeking an Examinations Officer to lead the planning, administration and delivery of all examinations for our first GCSE cohort. You will ensure compliance with JCQ regulations, manage entries, timetables and results, and support the Head of Centre in maintaining examination standards.
The role combines term-time hours (15 per week) with extended hours during main exam periods and GCSE Results Day, offering a dynamic schedule in a supportive school community in London.
Dulwich Prep & Senior is an exciting and ambitious place to work. With more than 800 pupils, it has long been recognised as one of the UK’s leading preparatory schools and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of London.
In September 2025, we opened our Senior School, enabling pupils to remain with us through to GCSE. As we prepare for our first GCSE examinations, we are seeking a dedicated Examinations Officer to help establish and oversee a high-quality examinations process.
The strength of the School lies in its community: professional, passionate and highly collegiate staff; inquisitive and motivated pupils; and supportive, ambitious families. Professional development is a priority, and staff are encouraged to continue learning and growing throughout their careers.
The successful candidate will support the School as it prepares for its first GCSE examination cycle. They will ensure that all internal and external examinations are conducted efficiently, fairly and in full compliance with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations, awarding body requirements and School policies.
Acting as the School’s expert adviser on examinations administration, the post holder will support the Head of Centre in maintaining the School’s status as an approved examination centre and in delivering examinations to the highest professional standards.
This role offers a flexible working pattern of 15 hours per week during term time (September to early July). Due to the seasonal nature of examinations, the successful candidate will also work full-time during the main examination period in May and June, and during the GCSE Results Day week in August.
We reserve the right to make an appointment before the closing date and encourage early applications. Unfortunately, this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
Dulwich Prep & Senior is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to provide references from previous employers, undergo online checks, and complete an enhanced DBS check.
