Job summary

Carshalton College is seeking a bank of variable hours Examination Invigilators to supervise GCSE examinations in line with awarding body regulations. You will collect exam materials, register candidates and monitor venues, ensuring security of belongings and accurate records throughout the exam period.

With emphasis on reliability and punctuality, you’ll work in a team to support up to 400 candidates per session. Salary is £15.36–£16.28 per hour, with pro-rated benefits for part-time staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collect exam materials from the exams office before start of examinations.
  • Enter candidates and monitor venues to ensure proper entry and conduct.
  • Open and distribute question papers and maintain attendance registers.
  • Ensure belongings are stored securely and follow awarding body regulations.
  • Coordinate with team to support smooth delivery of examinations.

Carshalton College is seeking a bank of variable hours Examination Invigilators to manage the Group’s external examinations, in particular for the dates below for the GCSE Exams:

Ensuring the examination venues are arranged in accordance with awarding body regulations, you’ll collect exam materials from the exams office punctually, prior to the start of examinations and manage the entry of candidates into exam venues ensuring their belongings and unauthorised items are appropriately stored. You’ll open and distribute question papers, complete the attendance register whilst identifying students, complete Examinations’ Diary as appropriate and maintain vigilance during the length of the whole examination.

With previous experience in examination administration, you’ll be reliable and punctual with the ability to control an examination venue containing up to 400 candidates. With excellent communication skills, you’ll be a meticulous and detail orientated individual, able to work under pressure and be a team player.
