Job summary

Kingston College is seeking a bank of variable hours Examination Invigilators to oversee external examinations, particularly in November, January and mid‑May to end of June. You will ensure venues follow awarding body rules, collect materials on time, and manage candidate entry while safeguarding belongings.

With experience in examination administration, you will be reliable and punctual, able to supervise venues with up to 400 candidates and communicate clearly under pressure as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Manage examination venues in accordance with awarding body regulations.
• Collect exam materials from the exams office punctually before start times.
• Control entry of candidates and ensure belongings and unauthorised items are stored appropriately.
• Open and distribute question papers and complete the attendance register.
• Maintain vigilance for the duration of the examination and complete the Examinations’ Diary as required.

Variable Hours

Kingston College is seeking a bank of variable hours Examination Invigilators to manage the Group’s external examinations, in particular at the key points of November, January and mid-May to end of June.

Ensuring the examination venues are arranged in accordance with awarding body regulations, you’ll collect exam materials from the exams office punctually, prior to the start of examinations and manage the entry of candidates into exam venues ensuring their belongings and unauthorised items are appropriately stored. You’ll open and distribute question papers, complete the attendance register whilst identifying students, complete Examinations’ Diary as appropriate and maintain vigilance during the length of the whole examination.

With previous experience in examination administration, you’ll be reliable and punctual with the ability to control an examination venue containing up to 400 candidates. With excellent communication skills, you’ll be a meticulous and detail orientated individual, able to work under pressure and be a team player.
