Job summary

Ormiston Venture Academy invites applications for Exam Invigilators to support the Exams Team during busy periods. You will help set up venues, check packs, assist candidates and actively invigilate to ensure exam integrity and a calm environment for student performance.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; local availability and reliability are valued for flexible work across September to June.

Qualifications

• No experience required as training will be provided.
• Local candidates preferred for flexibility and reliable attendance.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly during exam periods.
• Previous supervision experience with secondary school children is advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for reliable, flexible and trustworthy Exam Invigilators to support our Exams Team during the busy exam periods. As an Exam Invigilator, your presence will maintain the integrity of examinations in an environment that enables a student to perform at their best. You will assist with setting up of exam venues, checking examination packs, assisting candidates and actively invigilating during examinations.

The post would suit someone local who is looking for casual hours during the exam periods throughout the academic year, you should be reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly.

Previous experience working with secondary school children would be a distinct advantage as any previous supervision experience, although this is not essential.

No experience is needed as training will be given, but a willingness to support our young people during times of exam stress by being a confident and reassuring presence is a must.

Working days and hours will vary according to your availability, examination dates and number of invigilators needed for each exam. The main hours will take place during September, October, November, January, March, May and June.
