Job summary

The Swan School is recruiting reliable people to join our team of exam invigilators. You will help uphold the integrity and security of the examination process. This is a flexible, casual role with work during the May–June main exam period and occasional days during internal assessments.

Training is provided. Ideal candidates are reliable, calm and organised, with excellent verbal and written communication, and a confident, reassuring presence in exam rooms.

Job description

We are looking for reliable people to join our growing team of Exam Invigilators. You will play a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the examination process. This is a flexible role and you will be required to work during the main exam period in May and June as well as some days during internal assessments throughout the academic year on a casual basis. No previous experience is necessary, as training will be provided. Ideal candidates will be reliable, have a calm and organised attitude, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms. Casual Agreement

Flexible hours; by negotiation and agreement during the summer exams period in May and June, typical full days are 8.00am-5.00pm and half days 8.00am-12.30pm. As well as some weeks in November and February. We expect invigilators to be available for a minimum of 2 days per week during this period. Typical full working days during the exams period are 8.00am-5pm and half days 8.00am-12.30pm or 12.30pm-5pm.

About the school

The Swan School, part of the River Learning Trust, is Oxford’s first new secondary school for over 50 years, and opened in September 2019. When full, we will have approximately 1,200 students on roll, of whom around 300 will be in the Sixth Form. Our students are drawn from a local catchment area and the school is at the heart of the community.
