Job summary

De Vere Latimer Estate in Chesham is seeking a proactive Events Assistant to help prepare our spaces for guests, confidently handling the setup and reset of rooms for conferences, weddings and special events.

You will move tables, chairs and equipment, follow room plans, and support the team to ensure smooth operations and a memorable guest experience. Full training is provided and opportunities for progression exist.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in setting up event spaces.
• Hands-on, practical role with moving furniture and equipment.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Reliable team player who works well with others.
• Previous experience in events or hospitality is helpful but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear down event spaces for conferences, weddings, and other events.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs and event equipment safely.
• Follow room plans and assist with room changes as needed.
• Maintain clean, well-presented spaces and report any issues to the team.
