Job summary

Historic England is seeking an Events Officer to join the Communications and Engagement Group in London. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working with a mix of office and home days and a strong benefits package.

The role involves organising diverse events for stakeholders, media and specialist audiences, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting high-level engagement activities. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.

  • Be the main day-to-day contact for suppliers and stakeholders and help manage all elements connected with the event.

Job Description

Summary

This is a full time, permanent position.

The location of this role is London, inclusive with hybrid working.

What you will be doing

You will help organise a variety of different events that are for Historic England stakeholders, media and specialist audiences. You will help organise events that support the work of the Communications and Engagement Group by delivering events at key project milestones and Blue Plaque unveilings. The role will also support events for the Chairman and co-CEOs as directed by the Head of Strategic Events and Group Operations. The postholder will be the main day-to-day contact for suppliers and stakeholders and will help manage all elements connected with the event.

Who we are looking for

Experience of managing or supporting events from initiation to evaluation for stakeholders and specialist audiences (this role does not manage public facing events)

Experience of working with a variety of suppliers and stakeholders to deliver events

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven experience of being solutions focussed and able to adapt to emerging situations calmly and in a proactive manner
