Job summary

Cynthia Spencer Hospice is seeking an Events Fundraiser to join our Income Generation & Communications team in Northampton. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of fundraising and challenge events, from Twilight Walk to Colour Run, recruiting participants and volunteers, and promoting events with the Marketing Team.

Qualifications

• Experience of successfully organising and delivering events, projects or activities from planning through to delivery.
• Experience of managing multiple projects, events or priorities at the same time.
• Experience of coordinating suppliers, contractors, stakeholders or volunteers.
• Experience of working with budgets, financial information or measurable targets.
• Experience of building positive relationships with a range of people.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver an agreed portfolio of fundraising and challenge events from planning through to delivery and evaluation.
• Create and manage event plans, schedules and timelines, coordinating venues, suppliers, contractors and equipment.
• Recruit, engage and support event participants, providing fundraising advice and encouragement.
• Build strong relationships with participants and supporters, ensuring they feel valued and stay involved.
• Help develop and grow the events programme by researching new fundraising opportunities and contributing ideas.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers to support fundraising events.
• Work closely with the Marketing Team to promote events and develop engaging communications.
• Monitor event budgets, income, expenditure and participant numbers towards targets.
• Complete post-event evaluations and identify improvements for future events.
• Ensure events are delivered safely with risk assessments and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate participant records on the CRM in line with GDPR.
• Support wider fundraising activity and align with charity values and policies.
