The post holder will have a central role in supporting the business and the Top Management, responsible for managing events, exhibitions, and VIP visits in the UK.
As part of the wider Communications and Corporate Affairs (G) organization, the Event and Exhibition team (GV) is an international, multi cross-divisional, and multicultural team that values different ways of thinking and working to shape and deliver memorable customer experiences, enhancing the Airbus brand and reputation at the highest level.
This role involves some travel within the UK, and the candidate must be able to travel accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Act as a project manager before and during events or visits.
- Plan and deliver Protocol and Events activities in the UK, mainly for Airbus Defence and Space, but for all Airbus divisions as required.
- Support the organization and management of UK-based exhibitions across all divisions.
- Support and arrange VIP, media, and industry visits.
- Gather briefs and all necessary information to determine precise event requirements.
- Be responsible for the event and exhibition concept.
- Decide on treatment for each visitor and coordinate actions or delegate tasks to outside suppliers.
- Coordinate all subcontractors during events.
- Manage the event budget.
- Organize follow-up sessions for lessons learned and recommendations for future editions.
- Apply Airbus standards by being customer-oriented and customizing visits and events according to stakeholders' cultures, expectations, and requirements.
- Provide advice on content and format of events.
- Ensure exhibitions reflect the Airbus corporate image while meeting guests' and hosts' needs.
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed.
- Engage with Senior Management and their offices for hospitality and VIP visit requirements.
- Foster effective partnerships with transnational and trans-divisional colleagues where appropriate.
- Collaborate with site management and services for visits and media events.
- Work closely with UK Communications and Marketing teams to ensure consistent communication, visibility, and sharing of best practices.
