Job summary

City of Portsmouth College is seeking an organised Events Coordinator to join the Marketing and Communications team at Highbury Campus, Portsmouth. The role involves coordinating Open Events, Awards Ceremonies, staff events and other college-wide activities, with travel between campuses as needed.

The successful candidate will hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for regular travel and transporting event materials.

  • Experience coordinating events, projects or activities in an education, hospitality or marketing environment.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on the development and delivery of a marketing events programme that supports recruitment and engagement objectives.
  • Coordinate logistics with curriculum and other internal stakeholders for a range of college events.
  • Coordinate resource, volunteers and student ambassadors.
  • Work with stakeholders in the coordination of external events.
  • Provide post-event analysis.
  • Coordinate requests and stock of promotional materials.
  • Support the Events Manager and wider Marketing team with logistical and administrative tasks.

£25,410.97 - £27,839.68 Full Time Equivalent

Hours of work:

37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Full-Time, Permanent

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join the Marketing and Communications team to support the delivery of the college's high-profile events programme.

Working closely with the Events Manager and wider Marketing team, you will play a key role in coordinating Open Events, Awards Ceremonies, Staff Events and other college-wide activities, helping to create exceptional experiences for students, staff, stakeholders and visitors.

Due to the nature of this role, a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential, as the position involves regular travel and the transportation of event materials.
