Job summary

Soho House Events in the United Kingdom is seeking a Bartender for a 1 year fixed-term contract to deliver premium beverage experiences for members and guests. You will support the Bar Manager and events team while ensuring the bar stays stocked and presented to the highest standard.

You will craft classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits with precision and flair, creating a welcoming and sophisticated environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Strong cocktail knowledge and ability to deliver classic and contemporary drinks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, welcoming manner.
• Able to work effectively in a team and maintain high standards.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a high standard, including cocktails, wines, beers and non-alcoholic options.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, delivering personalized experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar before, during and after service.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment; manage inventory during shifts.
• Ensure licensing, health and safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Contribute to menu development with seasonal cocktails in collaboration with the bar team.
• Process orders with the POS system and ensure accurate billing to club standards.
• Collaborate with floor, kitchen and events teams to ensure seamless service.
• Handle member queries and escalate concerns to management when needed.

1 year fixed‑term contract at Soho House Events. A Bartender plays an essential part in delivering a premium beverage experience that is memorable and personal. You will support the Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager and Events Bar Supervisor; you’ll ensure the bar is fully operational, stocked, and always presented to the highest standard.

You will prepare and serve classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, and spirits with precision and flair, while creating a welcoming and sophisticated environment for our members and guests.

Key duties

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a consistently high standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non‑alcoholic beverages
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, remembering preferences and delivering a personalised experience
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar before, during, and after service
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishment of supplies throughout the shift
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and hygiene standards always
• Contribute to the development of new cocktail menus and seasonal drink offerings in collaboration with the bar team
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and ensure all billing is completed to club standards
• Collaborate effectively with the floor team, kitchen, and events department to ensure smooth and seamless service
• Handle member queries and feedback confidently, escalating any concerns to management as appropriate

What We Are Looking For

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar capacity
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classics, techniques, and spirits
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a confident, calm presence during busy services
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and attention to detail
• Experience working with POS systems, stock control, and basic reporting
• Team player with a flexible, professional, and positive attitude
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Personal licence or willingness to obtain one (preferred)

Pay Range

£15.50–£15.50 per hour (UK). The range may vary by geography.
