Soho House & Co. in Banbury is seeking a Bartender on a 1 year fixed-term contract to craft cocktails, wines and spirits with precision, while delivering a premium, personal service to members and guests.

You will support the Bar Manager and Assistant Bar Manager, maintain bar stock, cleanliness, and contribute to a welcoming, sophisticated atmosphere during service, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Strong cocktail knowledge, including classics, techniques, and spirits.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a confident, calm presence during busy services.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
• Experience working with POS systems, stock control, and basic reporting.
• Team player with a flexible, professional, and positive attitude.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Personal License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks to a consistently high standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with members and guests in a warm, professional manner, remembering preferences and delivering a personalised experience.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the bar before, during, and after service.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and replenishment of supplies throughout the shift.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and hygiene standards always.
• Contribute to the development of new cocktail menus and seasonal drink offerings in collaboration with the bar team.
• Process orders accurately using the POS system and ensure all billing is completed to club standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the floor team, kitchen, and events department to ensure smooth and seamless service.
• Handle member queries and feedback confidently, escalating any concerns to management as appropriate.
