Job summary

Novabook in London is seeking an Events Associate to join our Growth team and help ideate, plan, and deliver our weekly events, including founder dinners, networking socials, pitch events and panels. You’ll work hands-on across the full event lifecycle.

Attending around two events per week, typically in the evenings, you’ll collaborate with the Partnerships Director, CEO and Sales to build relationships and a strong pipeline.

Qualifications

• You’re highly organised and think ahead to avoid anything slipping through cracks.
• You have strong attention to detail and care about small things being right.
• You have some experience organising or running events; professional experience is a plus.
• You’re interested in the UK startup ecosystem and may have a network within it.
• You’re proactive, self-sufficient and able to take ownership with minimal guidance.
• You’re a clear, confident communicator with fluent English.
• You’re comfortable presenting to an audience, from 10 to 100+ people.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for running our repeat event series, including private founder dinners, networking socials, pitch events and panel events.
• Running campaigns to find exciting new startups and founders, and inviting them to our events, ensuring a full and high quality room.
• Supporting on planning and running internal socials including office events, quarterly socials for the whole company and ad‑hoc events for the team.
• Managing key promotional channels including WhatsApp communities, LinkedIn presence and online footprint to help promote our events and attract audiences.
• Ideating epic event formats that will help build our brand within the startup community.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and events deliver high return on investment
• Responsible for event guests and registrations using analytical skills to select the best registrants.
• Identifying relevant events to sponsor that will deliver high return on investment
• Help to build out our partnership pipeline, identifying new opportunities and partners we should be working with and facilitating introductions to the Partnerships Director.
