Overview

To support our ambition to double the growth of our Care Homes business, we’re looking for a dedicated and energetic Events Assistant to take our food on the road – quite literally.

This is a unique and rewarding role that puts you at the heart of apetito’s growth within the care homes sector. You’ll be responsible for driving and managing our mobile kitchen, known as the ‘apetiser’ , which is a 3.5 tonne van at on-the-road events. You will be bringing our food directly to potential and existing customers across the country.

As a business built on the quality of our food, tasting experiences are one of the most powerful tools we have. They allow us to showcase our meals, ensuring they are expertly served and enjoyed in the way they’re meant to be. This role ensures that our tastings are not only delivered seamlessly but leave a lasting impression.

Working in close collaboration with both our Sales and Marketing teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering stand-out events, roadshows and tasting days – whether that’s meeting new prospects, supporting care home group meetings, or running engagement days for our valued existing customers.

You’ll be the face of apetito, representing our values and our food. From setting up and cooking, to chatting with care home managers and front-lineteams, your role is about creating warm, engaging and professional experiences that showcase what makes apetito different.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role and you should expect to be at events across the country (including overnight stays), at least twice a week.

  • Cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle, inside and out, to ensure it is representative of apetito at all times
  • Stock management of all items and disposables required for ‘apetiser’ events
  • Management of the technology onboard the ‘apetiser’ including the setup and customisation for all events
  • Development of the mobile tasting experience to ensure it is constantly evolving
