Job summary

Live Recruitment is seeking an Event Venue Sourcing Manager to own the full sourcing cycle for international pharma and healthcare meetings, including brief through contract handover. You will work remotely with regular travel to international destinations and manage RFPs and venue assessments to ensure compliance and value.

The role requires a strong background in pharmaceutical or healthcare events, ABPI awareness, and hands-on Cvent experience to lead supplier negotiations and deliver

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing venues for pharma/healthcare congresses and investigator meetings with ABPI/compliance awareness.
• Ability to manage international venue sourcing across multiple stakeholders and timelines.
• Strong negotiation and contract review skills to secure value for clients.

Responsibilities

• Produce tailored venue shortlists meeting client briefs, budgets and compliance requirements.
• Develop and manage RFPs through Cvent with clear recommendations and comparisons.
• Negotiate rates and contract terms that deliver value and documented client savings.
• Review venue contracts and client addendums against policy and risk requirements.
• Conduct site visits internationally to assess and confirm venue suitability.
• Deliver complete, timely handovers to project leads covering all contractual commitments.
• Share venue knowledge across teams and support junior colleagues.

The Role

The Event Venue Sourcing Manager will own the full sourcing cycle across an international portfolio, from brief through RFP, negotiation, contract review and handover, working across pharma and healthcare meetings that demand compliance, commercial rigour and genuine venue expertise.

The Candidate

You will already be working as an Event Venue Sourcing Manager or in an equivalent sourcing role with a strong international track record, and your background will be rooted in pharmaceutical or healthcare events where ABPI compliance and client regulation are second nature. Confident, hands‑on Cvent users are essential here: you will be managing RFPs, supplier records and venue comparisons through the platform daily.

Backgrounds in medical communications agencies, healthcare PCOs or pharma-specialist event businesses are all relevant. What matters most is the combination of international sourcing experience, pharma sector knowledge and Cvent proficiency, alongside the confidence to manage supplier relationships and advise project teams on destinations and trends.
