Role

As anEvent Producer at Apolitical, you’ll be at the heart of creating some of the most engaging and meaningful events in government today. From bold virtual panels to in-person roundtables with global experts, you’ll design experiences that connect public servants across the world to learn from each other and build practical skills.

Your work will cover everything from shaping event formats and writing punchy, audience-focused descriptions, to sourcing expert speakers and guiding them through a smooth, high-impact delivery. You'll own the content journey end-to-end, ensuring every event hits the right note, aligns with our strategic goals and delivers real value to attendees and partners.

You’ll be doing this all for a global community of over250,000 public servants, including state leaders, ministers, UN officials and more. We host events for, with and in countries including the US, France, South Africa, the UAE, Brazil, Canada and beyond.

Apolitical events are fast-paced, high-profile and often deeply rewarding. Your creativity, clarity, and attention to detail — paired with a strong grasp of tone and audience — will make you a vital part of a team that genuinely loves what it does.

Team

The Events Team serves our broader strategic objectives of platform growth and engagement, business development, revenue and brand salience. In the past year, the team has delivered ~200 events(95% virtual) with more than70,000 registrations.

The Events Team is warm, ambitious and intelligent. It's currently composed of an Event Marketer, who works on event promotion and messaging, and an Event Operations Planner who brings event concepts to life, building all the necessary assets. You'll be reporting to the Head of Events, Jenna Kelly. In this role, you'll also work with teams across the rest of the business, including Comms, Partnerships and Product.

About you

This is a great fit if you…

Are a critical and creative thinker, able to identify and validate new ideas based on insights.

Have the basics down of event production down and are looking to grow your skills in a rapidly moving team.

Value process, structure and high levels of organisation.

Are driven by data, and find monitoring and analysing event and marketing performance to draw conclusions from metrics insightful and inspiring.

Write well, separate from AI, and can produce compelling content in a warm, human tone while maintaining attention to grammar and brand voice.

Have an eye for detail — whether creating scripts, managing speaker comms, or running through event checklists.

Are excited by the idea of creating content-rich events that inform, connect and inspire public servants across the world.

Can juggle multiple priorities and stay organised in a fast-paced environment, with multiple events ongoing at the same time.

Enjoy collaborating across teams and bringing people together to execute on shared goals.

Have a passion for delivering high-quality experiences and always look for ways to make things even better.

This likely won’t be the right role if you…

Prefer working on your own rather than in a collaborative team environment.

Struggle with ambiguity or making decisions in uncertainty.

Dislike working on fast-moving projects or juggling multiple tasks at once.

Are uncomfortable with tight deadlines or iterative processes.

Application Process

Don’t meet every single expectation? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Apolitical is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

The Applied platform

Apolitical uses Applied in our recruitment. Applied aims to overcome unconscious bias in recruiting. Instead of using your CV alone, we'll be asking you to answer questions to test skills needed for the role. The answers are then anonymised, and reviewed in a random order by members of our team.

The Applied platform also asks some demographic questions before you start your application. No one at Apolitical sees the answers to these demographic questions with your application. We only see summary statistics to help us check if our candidate pool is balanced and if everyone has an equal chance to get hired irrespective of their background. If you prefer, you can easily opt out of answering these questions.

Using AI in your application answers

At Apolitical, we embrace new technologies and encourage the use of AI in our work. However, as AI becomes more prevalent, it can be difficult to distinguish between machine-generated content and the unique perspectives of candidates. We’re excited to see how you use AI tools to structure and refine your answers, but we value your unique insights above all else. Ensure your application reflects your voice and how your skills align with our mission.
