Job summary

Royal Lancaster London is seeking a Casual Event Porter to join the Events Department on a casual basis, with immediate start. You will help set up and break down event spaces, move equipment, and ensure guest areas meet hotel standards while delivering five-star service.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or events experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and dismantling event spaces, including furniture and décor.
• Ensure event areas are arranged according to function specifications and standards.
• Assist with unloading and moving event materials and AV equipment.
• Conduct post-event breakdown and reset spaces for future events.
• Follow all health, safety and manual handling procedures.
• Assist with post-event clean-up and reset for upcoming events.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with guests.

We are currently looking for a passionate Casual Event Porter, to join our Events Department on a casual basis, with an immediate start to join us in consistently delivering memorable moments and five star service to our guests and each other. As a Casual Event Porter, your main duties and expectations for the role will include:

• Assist in the setup and dismantling of event spaces, including furniture, staging, tables, chairs, and décor.
• Ensure all event areas are correctly arranged according to function specifications and hotel standards.
• Assist with unloading and moving event materials, including AV equipment, tableware, and supplies.
• Conduct thorough post-event breakdown and resetting of spaces for future events.
• Follow all health & safety, fire, and manual handling procedures.
• Assist with post-event clean-up and resetting for future events.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

You will work the hours according to your availability and business needs, just notify your manager and they will schedule your shifts accordingly.
