Historic Royal Palaces is seeking an Events Planner to enhance the commercial potential of HM Tower of London. The role involves managing various events, ensuring excellent communication and organizational skills, and requires proven experience in venue sales and operational event management. We are an independent charity dedicated to preserving and sharing six of the world's most magnificent palaces. These historic sites serve as the backdrop for stories that shape our collective history. We aim to connect with people through various events, from weddings and corporate parties to charity galas. We are seeking a dedicated Events Planner to help maximize the commercial potential of HM Tower of London.
This role emphasizes communication and organization. You will guide your portfolio of internal and external clients and suppliers through every stage of event planning. Whether focusing on sales, logistics, financial documentation, or other responsibilities, you will provide accurate information and demonstrate confidence in your abilities.
Key qualities include being a self-starter, quick learner, and able to work independently. Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential to engage effectively with stakeholders. You should work well within a team and possess strong IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Applicants should have proven experience in venue sales and operational event management. In-depth industry knowledge is essential, and familiarity with British history will be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management is required. You should also appreciate the importance of teamwork.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as dictated by the event schedule, is necessary.
