Job summary

RunThrough, the UK’s largest running events company, is seeking an Event Executive on a part-time freelance basis to cover events across the Northern region. You will work with our events team in Surrey to deliver outstanding experiences for runners.

You will help with venue checks, race route setup, signage, and marshal management, plus lead cycling and support runners to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. Weekend work, full UK manual driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Experience working live events.
• Full UK manual Driving Licence and comfortable with driving a van, if required.
• Keen interest in running.

Responsibilities

• Support our course event staff across weekend and occasional mid-week events.
• Checking venues and courses pre-event for any potential hazards.
• Assisting course team in race route set up; positioning signage, cones, dropping off course marshals, water stations etc.
• Lead cycling for events; guiding the runners around the course and checking for any issues that need to be addressed.

As we expand our reach and continue to build our team, we are looking for an Event Executive to join our team on a part-time freelance basis covering events across the region!

The Role

We are looking for someone with a passion for running to join an established and growing company. You will be working directly with our events team in Surrey, to organise and deliver running events across the region and helping runners to have the best experience at RunThrough events.

Key Responsibilities

- Support our course event staff across weekend and occasional mid-week events

- Checking venues and courses pre-event for any potential hazards

Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in live events, an interest in running, and be a fast learner. They will work well as part of a team at events, focused on the course and supporting runners to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience.

- Able to work to strict deadlines and calm under pressure

- Ability to carry out manual tasks

- Confident and able to ride a bike at the front of a road race

- Passion for delivering faultless events with a customer-centric focus

- Willing to work on weekends

- Full UK manual Driving Licence and comfortable with driving a van, if required.

- Experience working live events

- Keen interest in and knowledge of running.
