Job summary

National Trust is seeking Site Managers to support the Christmas at Dunham Massey event. In this fixed-term role you will manage day-to-day operations, working with property colleagues and event partners to deliver a memorable visitor experience.

The role also includes leading the venue duty management rota, safeguarding buildings and landscape, supervising staff and volunteers on event nights, and coordinating with the Business Services Team to handle enquiries and administration.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience in busy customer-facing environments or historic properties.
• Experience assessing & managing risk with health & safety and compliance knowledge.
• Strong people skills, ability to lead through others and maximise shared expertise.
• Ability to work on your own initiative under varying pressures and manage difficult situations.
• Some leadership experience and ability to make decisions and stay organised.
• Good communication and handling complaints effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the venue duty management rota for the event with support from the Dunham management team and property colleagues.
• Build effective relationships with property colleagues and event partners to deliver a high-quality visitor experience.
• Ensure buildings and landscape are protected while sharing the National Trust's purpose with thousands of visitors.
• Respond to customer enquiries and support event administration with the Business Services Team.
• Promote health and safety culture, assess risk and help run the event safely and cost-effectively.
