Job summary

Mint People is seeking enthusiastic Event Assistants to work across a variety of venues including Candlelight Concerts and The Jazz Room. You will help set up spaces, scan tickets, usher guests, assist with directions, and assist with packing down after events, all while creating a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.

We value friendly, outgoing, and reliable individuals who enjoy helping guests feel at ease.

Qualifications

• Experience isn’t essential, but a positive, welcoming attitude helps.
• Ability to interact with guests confidently and politely.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different event environments.

Responsibilities

Mint People are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Event Assistants to work across a variety of events and venues, such as Candlelight Concerts, The Jazz Room, An Idiot’s Guide to Wine, and The Jury Experience!

Your Role:

As an Event Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Venue Set-Up – Helping prepare event spaces before doors open.
• Ticket Scanning – Greeting guests and ensuring smooth entry.
• Ushering & Guest Assistance – Providing directions and answering questions.
• Pack Down – Helping dismantle event setups post-event.
• Creating a Warm Atmosphere – Ensuring guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Who We’re Looking For:

Experience isn’t essential—we’re looking for people who are friendly, outgoing and welcoming, with a natural enthusiasm for helping guests feel at ease. You’ll be part of creating a positive experience at every event, so reliability, a helpful attitude and confidence speaking with people are key.

Pay: £14.50 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.

Uniform: Smart black shirt, trousers and shoes.
