Job summary

Thames Park Secondary School in Grays is seeking an enthusiastic Evening Assistant Caretaker to join the site team. You will support lettings, act as the hirers' contact and help secure and maintain the school site.

The role runs 25 hours per week, including Saturdays, with duties across cleaning, maintenance and security under the Site Manager. The ideal candidate will have initiative, good DIY skills, physical fitness for lifting and a willingness to participate in training.

Qualifications

• Ability to use your own initiative and prioritise workload to keep the site safe.
• Good DIY skills.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting, moving and handling.
• Willingness to participate in training and development.

Responsibilities

• Support the school facility lettings and be point of contact for hirers.
• Lock the school site at the end of the day and undertake caretaking duties.
• Carry out cleaning, maintenance and site security under the Site Manager.
