Job summary

The Lodge Trust is a Christian charity providing residential care and support for adults with learning disabilities, based in Market Overton, Rutland. This part-time role offers 26 hours per week, on-site from 3:30pm to 10pm, with rota-based evenings and weekends.

You will provide person-centred care, support residents' wellbeing and participate in community activities. We value compassion, teamwork, and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate individual with an interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop within the role.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Capable of maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care and medications.
• Administer medication safely following policies.
• Build positive relationships and communicate with residents.
• Encourage participation in community activities and skill development.
• Support residents' wellbeing, rights, and dignity.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns.
• Contribute to reviewing care plans and risk assessments with senior staff.
• Support residents' spiritual needs in line with Christian ethos.
• Maintain a clean, safe, homely environment.
• Respond to emergencies including medical incidents and fire procedures.
• Maintain records and uphold confidentiality.
