Job summary

The Lodge Trust is a Christian charity providing residential care for adults with learning disabilities. This part-time Residential Living Support Worker role is based on-site in Market Overton, Rutland, 26 hours per week, evenings included.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, and compassionate individual.
• Interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Able to work flexibly including evenings, weekends, and shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Remain calm and respond appropriately in emergencies.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop within the role.
• Physically and mentally able to meet the demands of the role.
• Commitment to working within and supporting a Christian ethos.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and independence.
• Administer medication safely in line with policies and training.
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with residents.
• Encourage participation in community activities and skill development.
• Promote residents’ wellbeing and dignity at all times.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
• Review care plans and risk assessments with senior staff.
• Support residents’ spiritual needs in line with the ethos.
• Maintain a clean, safe, homely environment.
• Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents and fire procedures.
• Maintain records and uphold confidentiality and data protection.
