Job summary

NHS Shetland Domestic Services is seeking a motivated Domestic Support Worker for 2 hours per week, fixed-term until 31 March 2027. Saturday and Sunday 5:30pm–6:30pm with exact times flexible by agreement.

Band 2 salary range £26,696 to £28,988 pro-rata per annum plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 pro-rata per annum. Enhanced rates for weekend, unsocial and overnight hours; uniform and PPE supplied, access to workplace pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Good level of basic education.
• Ability to follow instructions and attend training.
• Reliable and flexible to cover weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning clinics, treatment rooms, reception areas.
• Hoovering and mopping floors.
• Cleaning toilets and public areas.
• Emptying waste bins and general cleaning duties.
