Job summary

St John’s College in Cambridge is seeking two Evening and Weekend Cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness across public areas and private rooms for students, Fellows, guests and visitors. You will support the College’s housekeeping service to ensure a welcoming environment throughout the site.

The role offers flexible hours during evenings and weekends, with in-house training provided on cleaning materials, fire safety, health and safety, and professional cleaning procedures.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with students, Fellows, visitors and colleagues.
• Able to work to deadlines during busy periods.
• Flexible in working days.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Reliable and able to work in a small team without supervision.
• Desirable cleaning experience and familiarity with cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas and private rooms to required standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in catering areas, offices, and meeting spaces.
• Ensure toilets, bathrooms and kitchens are kept hygienic and well stocked.
