Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College seeks a diligent cleaning operative to support residential facilities for students on campus. You will clean communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms, and assist with kitchens and windows as part of a dedicated team.

During summer, you will participate in deep cleaning, guest room housekeeping, and preparations for September. A flexible schedule with weekend work at peak times is possible, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Caring nature and interest in wellbeing of students.
• Flexible approach and “can do” attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow instructions from Residential Cleaning Team Supervisor.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• During the academic year, support the Residential Provision for 1095 students on Hartpury Campus.
• Clean communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms for students under 18.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, appliances, surfaces and windows in communal areas.
• Carry out dusting, vacuuming and bathroom cleaning in bedrooms.
• In summer, perform deep cleaning of student accommodation and assist with guest room housekeeping.
• Assist with preparing bedrooms for September arrivals, including moving furniture.
