Job summary

Stagecoach Cumbria & Lancashire is seeking individuals to join our evening Cleaning team at the West Cumbria depot. You’ll be part of a professional fleet maintenance group ensuring buses are clean and ready for daily service.

We welcome applicants from any transport background; training will be provided, and you’ll be supported by a great team in a safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Background in vehicle cleaning.
• Willingness to be trained on new procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the depot fleet to ensure vehicles are in top condition.
• Support the driving team with timely cleaning after use.
• Follow safety procedures and wear provided boots, overalls and equipment.

Salary £13.31 per hour Mon-Fri £16.52 per hour Weekend

Would you love to be part of a professional engineering team that maintains and repairs a modern and varied fleet of vehicles? You would be part of our evening Cleaning team. Stagecoach Cumbria & Lancashire operates 440 vehicles over 6 sites and our West Cumbria team are looking for people from a background in vehicle Cleaning to be part of our growing team.

You may be in a truck / HGV, rail, light commercial or automotive setting at the moment, but fancy a change of vehicles.

Our West Cumbria depot operates a varied range of vehicles from minibuses and Double Deckers on a daily basis, we operate Alexander Dennis, Scania, Mercedes and Optare vehicles.

You’ve probably seen some of our vehicles driving around West Cumbria and surrounding area, transporting our fantastic customers across the Cumbria & other parts of the Country. Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that.

It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re as looked after as our vehicles are! Don’t worry if you’ve not worked on these vehicles before (or indeed buses) – we’ll train you on everything you need to know, and you’ll be supported by a great team.
