Stagecoach Group in Lillyhall, Workington, is seeking an Evening Vehicle Cleaner to join our depots team. You will help maintain a modern fleet, cleaning buses to high standards in an evening shift.

Full-time role with training provided; weekend and weekday shifts apply. Our West Cumbria team supports a diverse range of vehicles, and you'll be part of a committed, safety‑conscious workforce committed to excellent passenger service.

Qualifications

• Background in vehicle cleaning or automotive cleaning preferred.
• Willing to train on buses and vehicles.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as per shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles to required standards.
• Assist in depot maintenance and ensure vehicles are ready for service.
• Follow safety rules and wear provided PPE.

You would be part of our evening Cleaning team. Stagecoach Cumbria & Lancashire operates 440 vehicles over 6 sites and our West Cumbria team are looking for people from a background in vehicle Cleaning to be part of our growing team. You may be in a truck / HGV, rail, light commercial or automotive setting at the moment, but fancy a change of vehicles. Our West Cumbria depot operates a varied range of vehicles from minibuses and Double Deckers on a daily basis, we operate Alexander Dennis, Scania, Mercedes and Optare vehicles. You’ve probably seen some of our vehicles driving around West Cumbria and surrounding area, transporting our fantastic customers across the Cumbria & other parts of the Country. Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip top condition to do just that. It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re as looked after as our vehicles are! Don’t worry if you’ve not worked on these vehicles before (or indeed buses) – we’ll train you on everything you need to know, and you’ll be supported by a great team.
