Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, part of the ESS division, is seeking an Evening Supervisor to help ensure smooth operations in Defence environments on a part-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. You will supervise frontline teams, manage rotas, monitor stock levels and ensure food handling, hygiene and safety standards are met while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Manage weekly bookwork and assist with duties.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager's guidelines.
• Place orders for stock to maintain levels.
• Delegate tasks and ensure proactive team performance.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

Job description

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Evening Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a part time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
